Compass' wealth group make two more appointments

Private-client unit adds an investment strategist and a portfolio manager. Compass Wealth Management Group, the trust and investment-advisory arm of Birmingham, Ala.-based Compass Bank, has made two more appointments. Cory Wilson has been named senior investment strategist for Compass WMG's Alabama market, and Susan Green has joined Compass WMG as senior portfolio manager Houston.

Wilson comes to Compass from Birmingham-based Regions Bank; Green had been with Houston-based Redstone Consulting.

A spate

In his new role, Wilson will assist high-net-worth individuals in the Birmingham metro and northern Alabama area in accessing the broad range of financial services, including investment management and trust services, available through WMG and the bank's affiliate companies.

Green is responsible for providing investment advice, developing and implementing investment strategies and managing portfolios for high-net-worth individuals and foundations in Houston and surrounding areas.

Wilson and Green are among a number of senior staffers Compass WMG has added in recent weeks -- among them Jeff Manley as Houston market executive, Douglas Bell as director of fiduciary and taxation services, and Steve Sanak, as head of wealth-management operations in Alabama and Florida.

Compass WMG's subsidiaries are Capital Investment Counsel, Jacksonville, Fla.-based St Johns Investment Management and Houston-based Stavis Margolis Advisory Services.

Compass Bank's corporate parent is a subsidiary of Bilbao, Spain-based BBVA. -FWR
